ACEC of Kansas President Jeff Hancock is inviting you to a lunch meeting on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 12:00 pm -1:30 pm at the Double Tree by Hilton Lawrence, 200 McDonald Dr. Lawrence, KS 66044.  All members statewide are invited to attend this and all membership lunches around the state.

This is where we discuss issues of concern to ACEC of Kansas and the engineering industry.  The ACEC of Kansas Board, as always, is interested in getting feedback from you and this lunch affords that opportunity.  We are excited to have Melinda Harger, P.E., LEED AP BD+C.  as one of our presenters.  Melinda is the Assistant Director for Municipal Services & Operations for the City of Lawrence.  Our second presenter is Keith Jackson from the ACEC National Executive Committee.

Melinda Harger will be presenting "Unchartered Territory of Alternative Project Delivery".  An overview of the city's new charter ordinance, alternative delivery procurement procedures, and how expertise was highlighted during selection of the architect for the new police facility.  Melinda will also share the status of other City building projects, including the field operations campus and transit hub.

Keith Jackson will present an update on ACEC and the new Strategic Plan, the annual report of the Council, and will highlight our advocacy efforts and strength of the Council and what the new strategic plan means to ACEC Kansas.
